The name Ole Palsby is associated with a quite fantastic career. The danish top designer from Copenhagen is
entirely self-trained. He began his design career as the proprietor of a shop selling household goods. The
shortcomings of some products he used, kept him thinking about new aesthetic possibilities in this area, with
great success! Today, Ole Palsby is one of the most respected designers in the world and some of his creations,
like the Alfi Spherical jug, are even on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Alfi and Ole Palsby
liaison have already produced three major successes. The hat-trick was achieved with the Spherical jug, Classic
No. 1 and Fresh Bottle, all of which won top design awards. Ole Palsby describes his philosophy in the following
words:
"I firmly believe that basic shapes are present in our subconscious. The simplicity of the sphere gives
pleasure. Classic forms will always be in demand."
